Richard Wallman, MBA '74, retired in 2003 as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Honeywell International, Inc., a diversified industrial technology and managing company. He previously worked at AlliedSignal, Honeywell’s predecessor, and also served in senior financial positions with IBM and Chrysler Corporation. He began his career with the Ford Motor Company. He currently serves on a number of corporate boards.

In both 2017 and 2023, Wallman and his wife Amy were included on the Chronicle of Philanthropy’s “Philanthropy 50,” a comprehensive report on America’s most generous donors.

Wallman has been a dedicated supporter of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In honor of his philanthropic commitment to business education, the school designates its graduating MBA students who earn high honors as Amy and Richard F. Wallman Scholars at Chicago Booth. Wallman serves as a member of the University of Chicago’s Board of Trustees.

Wallman earned a BA in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
