In this project, we focus on the effects of disclosures by banking regulators. Although prior research has studied the causes and consequences of firm disclosure, our understanding of the effects of disclosure by regulators is limited. This is particularly true of disclosures by bank regulators whose supervisory actions are typically unobservable.
