Opening Letter
Why do Chicago Booth alumni give back? To support foundational lessons from top-tier faculty. To celebrate lifelong friendships with classmates. To provide scholarship and career support to future generations. 天美传媒 are Chicago Booth鈥檚 champions for an enriching environment in which ideas are sharpened and put into action.
This report shares the numbers of 2023鈥24, but I hope you鈥檒l join me in recognizing the people who make up these totals. This report recognizes the more than 36,000 alumni who鈥檝e made an impact on Chicago Booth through their gifts to the Annual Fund鈥攁lumni like Alana Muller, 鈥98, and Mike Herman, 鈥64:
鈥Mike Herman and his wife, Karen, changed my life when they granted me the Herman Family Fellowship for Women in Entrepreneurship upon my admission to Booth (then, the GSB). Every professional success I鈥檝e had since entering business school I can tie right back to their generosity and belief in me. I鈥檓 eternally grateful.鈥 鈥Alana Mueller, 鈥98
鈥[Former Booth dean] Jeff Metcalf, AM 鈥53, came to my college and made the case for Chicago and so I went. It was the best decision I ever made. I鈥檓 a great believer that you should support the institutions that helped you out. If you鈥檙e fortunate enough to gain wealth in your career, you should give some of that wealth back to the institution that helped you get there.鈥 鈥Mike Herman, 鈥64
Whatever your reason for giving back, I鈥檓 honored to celebrate your contributions to Chicago Booth this past year.
My sincere thanks,
Caroline Karr, 鈥88
