Minicourse Engaging Others for Change
Fall 2025
Led by Chris Collins, Clinical Associate Professor of Leadership
Overview
Leading involves seeing the critical moments around us and stepping forward. Our success in those moments hinges on our ability to engage others. If we can’t engage others as we step forward, then we end up standing alone. Yet if we can move in ways that genuinely involve those around us, we can begin to lead and make a difference.
Engaging others is the pivotal moment in our efforts to lead. If we succeed in this foundational task, we move toward more meaningful and cohesive partnerships at work. If not, we often end up feeling isolated or unsupported by colleagues. If you’d like to become more effective at this foundational aspect of leading, we invite you to join us for Engaging Others for Change.
Led by Chris Collins, Clinical Associate Professor of Leadership, this live-online minicourse will provide you with a model for engaging others in the course of your daily work. You will be invited to identify one or two opportunities to apply the model, and those will serve as personal case studies through which you can learn and synthesize the course material.
